Indian sensation Anirudh Ravichander will thrill his Malaysian fans on Feb 13 at Stadium Merdeka, Kuala Lumpur.

The singer gained popularity when his song Why Dis Kolaveri? went viral and tracked more than 100 million views on YouTube. He has since provided scores for more than 11 blockbuster movie soundtracks.

“I have been very blessed,” he said humbly of his great success at a press conference in KL recently to promote his concert. “I guess my fans are at that age group where they like downloading songs.

“Originally I was scheduled to come to Malaysia in 2017, but the support I have received here has been great … I must also say that I see some crazy talent here, especially the Indian artistes who opened for my concert in 2014.”

The singer is set to release his new single on Valentine’s Day, so there is a possibility of hearing this new song in the concert, which is supported by Malaysia Major Events (a division of Malaysia Convention & Exhibition Bureau, an agency under the Ministry of Tourism and Culture).

Tony Nagamaiah, general manager of Malaysia Major Events who was also present at the press conference said: “Anirudh is a young, talented musician who has attracted an astounding number of fans from all around the world in such a short period of time.

“As part of our strategy to position Malaysia as a major events destination, we’re excited to bring this show to KL.”

Tickets for Anirudh Live In KL 2016 are priced at RM133 (general admission/student), RM282 (VIP) and RM383 and sold on airasiaredtix.com.
