Lady Gaga reveals new album title
Lady Gaga has released her new single, Perfect Illusion, from her upcoming fifth studio album, reports Rolling Stone. The dance-rock track touches on the risks of falling hard for a crush, in a song she co-produced with Mark Ronson, Tame Impala’s Kevin Parker and Bloodpop.
Although the singer has not announced an official release date yet, Lady Gaga’s follow-up album to her 2013 Artpop is expected to become available this year.
Meanwhile, Lady Gaga has confirmed her collaboration with Florence And The Machine’s Florence Welch on the upcoming album, reports British Vogue.
The singer made the announcement on Radio 1’s Breakfast Show while discussing her new album. Lady Gaga wouldn’t reveal much more detail on the song – only that listeners would understand why she undertook the project when they heard the lyrics.

UPDATE: Lady Gaga has announced that her new album, Joanne, is set for an Oct 21 release. The singer made the announcement on DJ Zane Lowe’s Beats online radio show, and explained that the album is named after an aunt who died from lupus. Joanne is also Lady Gaga’s middle name (her real name is Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta).
“It’s everything about Joanne. It’s all the toughness of the pain of losing her that made us all strong and made us who we are,” she said to Lowe. Apart from Perfect Illusion, other song titles include John Wayne, Sinner’s Prayer and Ayo.
