Get ready for lots more Avatar. In addition to the four Avatar sequels James Cameron announced last week at CinemaCon, we're also getting a new Disney World theme park in Pandora: The World of Avatar, which will be part of Disney's Animal Kingdom. The hope with the theme park is to entertain the kids and also remind people what Avatar is when the first sequel arrives in theaters in December of 2018, nine years after the original.
Disney teased its new Pandora attraction — which is set to open next year — for press this week in its Awaken Summer event, showcasing a revealing new video that gives us a brief taste at just how far the effects have come since 2009's Avatar. Check it out below, courtesy of Amy Ratcliffe.

Right away the video wisely zooms in on the Na'vi face to tease the kind of dense facial detail that wasn't available back in 2009. Compared to the still below from the first movie, you can tell the difference right away. It's not much, but it's enough to show you that Cameron and his team are going to take advantage of all the latest bells and whistles in their attempt to deliver not one but four more game-changing theatrical experiences.
Avatar 2 hits theaters in December of 2018, followed by Avatar 3 (12/20), Avatar 4 (12/22) and Avatar 5 (12/23). Does this video have your attention?
