The Devil Wears Prada Turns 10! 12 Looks From the Movie That Look Just as Chic Today
2016 is the year of trying new trends, learning how to rock an ear party, and—of course—the year that one of our favorite fashion films, The Devil Wear Prada, turns 10. As we will surely spend the better part of the coming months reminiscing about Andy Sachs’ transformation from frumpy to fabulous and shaking in our thigh-high boots at the thought of Miranda Priestley, we couldn’t think of a more fitting way to kick start the milestone year than to dive back through the archives and celebrate one of the most important “characters” of the flick: the clothes.
Costume designer Patricia Field (yes, the same one responsible for the epic wardrobe on Sex and the City!) is the one we have to thank for everything from Andy’s double-breasted Chanel blazer to Miranda’s arsenal of chic suiting. And while ten years seems like nearly half a century in fashion years, we think all the outfits that made their mark in this well-known fashion feature are just as cool and covetable today.

When Andy emerges, post-makeover, in this amazing Chanel blazer and leather pants, she definitely makes the statement she was looking for.
We’re still in love with this date night look: a black minidress, open coat, knee-high boots, and a statement chain.
Andy layers like a pro with a button-down, off-the-shoulder-top, and graphic pearls.
It may have been ten years ago, but bright coats are a definite must-have for this winter!
Miranda rocks a military-style blazer and pencil skirt with aplomb.
Remember the bag? Suffice to say, we still covet it this studded leather style.
Strolling (well—maybe rushing) through the streets of New York City, Andy sports yet another one of her many famed coats of the film.
Looking gorgeous as a trio of black-clad fashion powerhouses, Andy, Miranda, and Emily nail black-tie style.
If you were ever wondering about how to master winter whites, look no further than this cold-weather look from the movie.
Simple off-duty style isn’t off-limits either, as proved by this denim, turtleneck, and leather jacket look.
Andy makes schoolgirl style chic as ever in this collared and cuffed mini dress and pearls.
Can we award an honorary mention to Nigel and his perfect three-piece suits?
