It's being billed as a spiritual sequel to Dazed and Confused, and the first trailer for Richard Linklater's Everybody Wants Some definitely feels like it belongs in the same universe as its classic predecessor. While it doesn't appear as if the movies share any of the same characters, they definitely share that big 'ol party vibe and the kind of free spirit that's defined many of Linklater's movies throughout his career.

Have a look.

What Dazed and Confused did for high school kids in the '70s, Everybody Wants Some looks to do for college kids in the '80s. Once again we're hangin' with a group of party-hungry up-and-comers (who kinda look like their Dazed counterparts in ways), only this time it's the beginning of college instead of the end of high school. The film stars Will Brittain, Zoey Deutch, Ryan Anthony Guzman, Tyler Hoechlin, Blake Jenner, Glen Powell and Wyatt Russell.

Baseball is once again central to the plot, as is newbie hazing, hard partying and, of course, epic pot-smoking sessions. As with Dazed, we can also expect a pretty sweet soundtrack to go with this one, too — I mean the movie is named after a Van Halen song, after all. Not to mention there are several classic bands featured on its poster (see below).

Everybody Wants Some will premiere at the SXSW Film Festival in March before hitting theaters on April 15, 2016. So… do you want some?
