Movie fans love to visit the locations they see on the big screen. They also like to go to see movies set in places they'd love to visit, as they provide a kind of virtual vacation.

Many of this summer's releases were filmed in such desirable spots, so Fandango polled more than 1,000 fans and asked which of these places they would most like to travel to this season.

Here are the top five "Vacation on Location" survey picks and their respective new movies:

1. Jason Bourne's Las Vegas, Nevada

The return of Bourne has the superspy traveling all over the world again, but the movie's climax brings him to Sin City, the setting of countless movies, for a literally smashing sequence that takes place along the Vegas Strip.

2. Mike and David Need Wedding Dates' Kualoa Ranch, Hawaii

This popular part of Oahu has also seen its share of movie and TV productions, including Jurassic World and the TV show Lost. In the new comedy, it hosts the titular wedding.

3. The BFG's Buckingham Palace, London

The majestic home of the Queen of England is integral to the plot of Steven Spielberg's new fantasy film, in which a young girl and a big friendly giant travel to meet Her Royal Highness to get her to imprison all the other big yet not-so-friendly giants.

4. Me Before You's Pembroke Castle, Wales

This medieval landmark, previously seen in the classic film The Lion in Winter and Terry Gilliam's Jabberwocky, stands in for Will Traynor's castle in the adaptation of Jojo Moyes' romantic novel about a wealthy paralyzed man and his relationship with his caretaker.

5. The Shallows' Lord Howe Island, Australia

Although actually set off the coast of Mexico, the survival thriller about a young woman attacked by a shark was filmed Down Under, specifically on this island situated in the Tasmanian Sea.

Not in the top five is Finding Dory's Morro Bay — based on the Monterey Bay Aquarium — which will most certainly find some tourists flocking to both locations after watching the much-anticipated Pixar sequel.
